The MatriX-Hub is a multi-interface matrix switch for high performance graphic environments. It gives users the ability to route up to 30 different sources among 30 different destinations, in effect lowering the price-per-seat of high performance graphic workstations.
Lightwave's pioneering technology makes it a switch for the entire workstation. Route and switch video, keyboard, mice, and peripherals seamlessly while optimizing operational productivity. (Video Chassis Shown)
Maximize
cost-effectiveness and increase productivity
Enabling up to 30 users (destinations) to utilize up to 30 assets
(sources) greatly reduces your price per seat investment. When
coupled with Lightwave's patented Video Display Extension Kit the
VDE/200, a versatile and highly flexible topology may be created.
Full advantage may be taken of "multi-pipe" systems
since the user is no longer captive to the room the computer is
in. This maximizes the effectiveness of both creative and high
performance computer assets.
Increasing
networking options while increasing security
Control
via a direct serial connection, over the network, or through a
server
Direct
video, keyboard/mouse, serial and audio to desired desktops
without patching
Video
Performance at resolutions up to 1920 x 1200

Controlling
the Matrix-Hub
The Matrix-Hub is controlled through a serial (RS-232) port,
either directly via a dumb terminal or remotely through a
networked computer. User friendly menus and commands make
controlling and programming simple. The Matrix-Hub allows for
different levels of control, giving users a variety of
access/control privileges.
Mixing
Platforms on the Matrix-Hub
The Matrix-Hub supports multiple platforms within the same
chassis. With the Matrix-Hub's user-friendly menus and
programmability, administrators prevent the mixing of
incompatible sources and destinations.
Broadcast
Capability
